Recent projects across Wiltshire
Station Road, CorshamArtist StudioA purpose-built artist studio added to an old stone terrace in Corsham, providing the workspace the original property couldn't accommodate. Working sympathetically alongside existing stonework was central to the build.
Manor Farm, Sutton BengerExtensionA high-spec two-storey side extension and single-storey rear extension, alongside large-scale internal alterations. The new layout was designed around the connection between the house and its garden, opening up the spatial experience throughout.
Arminger House, Kington LangleyExtensionThe existing conservatory was replaced with a contemporary orangery in cedar cladding and render, with a central lantern bringing daylight deep into the plan. Internal walls between the kitchen and living room came down to create a single open-plan space.
Building in Wiltshire

Wiltshire Council planning
Almost all of our Wiltshire work falls under a single authority, Wiltshire Council, covering Chippenham, Trowbridge, Bradford-on-Avon, and the towns and villages around them. We know their processes inside out, from straightforward household extensions through to listed-building applications, and can guide your project from first enquiry to sign-off.
Listed buildings and conservation
Wiltshire has a high concentration of listed buildings and conservation areas, particularly across its historic market towns and stone villages. We've worked throughout the county on heritage projects and are familiar with the extra planning steps involved: listed-building consent, conservation officer input, and matching materials and detailing to the existing fabric. We build those steps into the programme from the start rather than treating them as an afterthought.
Cotswold stone and traditional materials
Much of north and west Wiltshire is built in Cotswold and Bath stone with slate or stone-tile roofs. Whether you're matching existing work on a period property (as at Station Road) or introducing a contemporary contrast that still sits well alongside it (as at Arminger House), getting the stone, mortar, cladding, and roofing details right is essential.
Areas we serve
We work right across Wiltshire, from Chippenham, Trowbridge, and Bradford-on-Avon through to Corsham, Melksham, Calne, Box, Colerne, Warminster, and Westbury, along with the many villages in between.
Common questions about building in Wiltshire
Everything you need to know about working with Blok on your Wiltshire building project.
Every Blok project is overseen by an experienced site manager, supported by our own tradespeople and trusted long-term subcontractors. You'll always know who to speak to, and we keep the same core team on your project from start to finish.
Yes. We provide detailed, fixed-price quotes at no charge, with clear breakdowns so you know exactly what's included. The price we quote is the price you pay, with no hidden extras along the way.
Blok is a member of the Federation of Master Builders and a TrustMark registered business. Both require independent vetting of our workmanship, finances, and customer service, so you can be confident you're working with a properly accredited builder.
We don't disappear when the scaffolding comes down. We hand over all relevant certificates and warranties, walk you through the finished work, and stay on hand to answer any questions afterwards. A large share of our work comes from repeat clients and recommendations, and that only happens by standing behind what we build.
